How many metaphors can be used to describe a navigator’s job? It was interesting and visionary to hear all the descriptions given at the 2011 Navigation and Survivorship Conference. Frank delaRama challenged each of us to be linchpins...one who can walk into chaos and create order. He encouraged us to invent, connect, create, and to make things happen. Navigators do not wait for instructions, instead they figure out what to do next. The culture connection through personality and attitude with the team creates indispensable work.
