Survivorship Committee

Mission
The mission of the Survivorship Committee provide education and support regarding survivorship programs and sustainable metrics through sharing of best practices.

Co-Chairs

2016 Highlights:

  • Delivered CEU presentation on survivorship and the navigator at AONN+’s 7th Annual Navigation & Survivorship Conference in Las Vegas
  • The committee established itself as a standalone committee

2017 Goals:

  • Increase knowledge related to multidisciplinary cancer survivorship care and incorporating quality metrics into practice
  • Identify appropriate healthcare use and program development with primary focus on survivors’ quality of life—starting survivorship care from the time of diagnosis
  • Identify essential components of Survivorship Care Plan that are accurate, personalized, meaningful, and useful to the patient

We invite you to take an active role in our evergrowing organization by becoming a part of the Survivorship Committee. Here is a quick summary of this exciting commitment:

Criteria:

  • AONN+ member
  • Work/professional role involves survivorship

Time Commitment:

  • 1 hour meeting bi-monthly
  • 2-3 hours per month working on committee initiatives; possibly a few more hours (total) for special projects/presentations
  • Attending 1 in-person live meeting—takes place at the annual conference—will be very helpful, if possible

  • Patient Navigators
  • Nurse Practitioner/APN/CNS
  • Social Workers
