Mission: Maryland/ D.C. Patient & Nurse Navigator Local Network will provide education, networking, resources, best practices and evidence-base person-centered oncology care.
Vision: Build the presence of Maryland/ D.C. Patient & Nurse Navigator by increasing collaboration and sharing expertise to improve the needs of cancer patients and families served locally.
Goals/Objectives:
- Increase collaboration between local oncology navigation professionals across institutions by holding at least 4 meetings a year
- Identify 2 barriers that local navigators experience and work collaboratively to address in the Maryland area
- Promote the number of certified navigators within the LLN, by providing resources to assist with preparation for exam such as mentorship and education programs geared towards certification goals
