This year, the Navegación de Pacientes Internacional (NPI) hosted their first International Patient Navigation Congress to help combine regional efforts to expand the implementation of Patient Navigation in Latin America (LatAm). Attendees gathered virtually to share information about patient navigator training and certification and to strengthen regional patient navigator support networks. They discussed strategies for introducing and implementing patient navigation in public and private hospitals, the challenges and barriers that LatAm patients face, and how they can use technology to advance navigation and patient support in health systems.
