Abstract Review Committee

The mission of the Abstract Review Committee is to objectively review AONN+ member abstracts and provide feedback for revision, with the greater goal of building momentum and evidence around navigation.

Clinical Trials Committee

The mission of the Clinical Trials Committee is to provide education and resources to navigators so that they can become an integral part of the clinical trial process.

Conference Planning Committee

The mission of the Conference Planning Committee is to provide relevant and high-value conference agendas and speakers that will enhance and develop members’ professional growth and development.

Genetics and Genomics Committee

The mission of the Genetics and Genomics Committee is to empower and engage oncology nurses and patient navigators to play a role in linking patients and personalized medicine, with the ultimate goal of increasing access to genetic information for the purpose of shared decision-making.

Integrative Health Committee

The mission of the Integrative Health Committee is to establish and advance integrative health education, resources, and support for AONN+ members. This committee will look to define and standardize the role of navigation in the integrative health space with an emphasis on raising awareness of the benefits of integrative health, promotion, and implementation of self -care best practices, all while promoting a holistic approach to cancer care.

Metrics Committee

The mission of the Metrics Committee is to support value-based cancer care initiatives utilizing the 35 AONN+ national evidence-based metrics in the areas of patient experience, clinical outcomes, and return on investment.

Policy and Advocacy Committee

The mission of the Policy and Advocacy Committee is to utilize legislative, regulatory, and policy advocacy to protect and promote the practice of oncology patient navigation in order to best serve individuals and families impacted by cancer.

Professional Development Committee

The mission of the Professional Development Committee is to provide mentorship support to AONN+ members in areas of quality, process improvement, metrics, and reporting.

Screening, Early Detection, & Treatment (SEDT) Committee

The mission of the Screening, Early Detection, & Treatment (SEDT) Committee is to advance the role of navigation within the care continuum of those at risk, prevention, screening, early detection, and early-stage treatment.

Survivorship Committee

The mission of the Survivorship Committee is to advance survivorship care throughout the continuum by providing resources and evidence-based education to oncology navigators.

Technology and Innovation Committee

The mission of the Technology and Innovation Committee is to identify member needs and provide education, tools, and best practice solutions to advance the use of diverse technology solutions that improve efficiency and value across unique practice settings, navigator roles, and patient populations.
