CRANBURY, NJ (Aug. 11, 2023)—Patient navigation is one of the only evidence-based interventions that effectively addresses disparities in oncology care.

In recognition of the recent announcement by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) proposing payment for community health integration services, the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) sees this opportunity as a key initiative to strengthen and accelerate the oncology navigation footprint in every community.

April 24, 2023 - Tigerlily Foundation (Tigerlily) announced today that the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) has committed to the #InclusionPledge—an unprecedented global, multistakeholder initiative focused on diversity, inclusion, and eliminating disparities for Black women living with breast cancer.

The Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators’ (AONN+) Policy and Advocacy Committee kicked off 2023 by supporting two Cancer Leadership Council letters. The first was related to the Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters (NBPP) for 2024, and the second focused on the Essential Health Benefits (EHB) in the Affordable Care Act.

This strategically designed toolkit provides navigators guidance on how to select, implement, report, and utilize navigation metrics to help improve patient care and foster navigation program development and growth.

August 3, 2020 (Cranbury, NJ): The ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), a wholly owned subsidiary of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has accredited AONN+ Foundation for Learning under ISO/IEC 17024, Conformity assessment – General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons.
