Mission
The mission of the Screening, Early Detection, & Treatment (SEDT) Committee is to advance the role of navigation within the care continuum of those at risk, prevention, screening, early detection, and early-stage treatment.

Goals

  • Recruitment of prostate (GU) and GYN members
  • Best practice sharing of community outreach, prevention, and screening programs

Purpose

The purpose of this committee is to advance the role of navigation within the care continuum of those at risk through prevention, screening, early detection, and early-stage treatment. The committee will provide a network for collaboration and development of best practice within the early detection and treatment within the cancer care continuum. Shared learning and collaboration will occur from best practice of prevention programs, screening programs, early diagnosis and treatment improving potential patients at risk to those newly diagnosed patients. Areas of patient focus can include education and access to timely care. Ideas for accreditation standards will be shared.
