CMS released the PIN Codes in 2024 which allow clinical and nonclinical navigators to be reimbursed for their services. In this video, Stephanie Bonfilio, RN, MSN, OCN, ONN-CG, discusses the guidelines for billing, some of the challenges that programs may face with the process, and how her own organization, St Elizabeth Healthcare, prepared to implement the PIN Codes.

“Navigation is impacting the bottom line,” she says. “We know it impacts patient care. And we know it impacts patient outcomes. But I think being able to get reimbursement really speaks to the people in the C-Suite.”
